Δίγλωσση (αγγλικά - γαλλικά) έκδοση σχετικά με τις ενδυμασίες, τον τρόπο ζωής, τα ήθη και τα έθιμα των κατοίκων της οθωμανικής αυτοκρατορίας, πιθανώς βασισμένη στο έργο του Nicolay. Το 1567 έπειτα από ένα ταξίδι του ως μέλος διπλωματικής αποστολής στην οθωμανική αυτοκρατορία, ο Nicolas de Nicolay εξέδωσε το ταξιδιωτικό έργο "Les quatres premiers livres des navigations et peregrinations orientales, de N. de Nicolay Dauphinoys, Seigneur d'Arfeuille, Varlet de chambre, et Geographe ordinaire du Roy. Avec les figures au naturel tant, d’ hommes que de femmes selon la diuersité des nations, & de leur port, maintien & habitz". Περιείχε πληροφορίες για τα ήθη, τα έθιμα, τον τρόπο ζωής και τις ενδυμασίες των κατοίκων της οθωμανικής αυτοκρατορίας, οι αναπαραστάσεις των οποίων ήταν οι πρώτες τόσο ακριβείς που καταγράφηκαν σε ευρωπαϊκό βιβλίο, και γνώρισε μεγάλη επιτυχία και πολλές μεταφράσεις. O Nicolas de Nicolay (1517-1583) γεννήθηκε στο χωριό Grave της περιοχής Dauphiné στα ΝΑ της Γαλλίας. Κατά τη διάρκεια της ζωής του ταξίδεψε πολύ στο γερμανόφωνο χώρο, τη Δανία, την Αγγλία, τις ιταλικές πόλεις το ισπανικό βασίλειο και την οθωμανική αυτοκρατορία. Με την επιστροφή του στη Γαλλία διορίστηκε από το Βασιλιά Ερρίκο Β’ Γεωγράφος της Αυλής, ενώ το 1551 του ζητήθηκε να συνοδεύσει τον Gabriel d' Aramon, απεσταλμένο του γαλλικού στέμματος στην αυλή του Σουλεϊμάν του Μεγαλοπρεπούς, και να φιλοτεχνήσει μία σειρά τοπογραφικών πινάκων.
