trial_description_8:
Door frame fragment, broken all around. The fragment seems to come from an upper right corner.
At the left of the fragment, rising from a plain surface, is an eight-petalled rosette, with channeled petals, slightly rounded at the tips, and a plain boss center. To the right of the rosette, cyma reversa, 0.03m. and taenia, 0.02m.; to the right of this molded band, a roughly dressed surface sloping away at a slight angle. 0.05m. above the top of the rosette, the molded band turns to the left, forming a right angle; the taenia remains the same, but the cyma becomes a plain beveled molding, H. 0.034m. Above this band are remains of a projecting surface, now broken.
Pentelic marble.
