Fragment of small cornice with very shallow dentils. Part of top surface, worked with large toothed chisel, preserved; other sides broken.
Moldings:
Concave molding, upper part only, P.H. 0.045m.; on it are the remains of an alternating palmette and lotus pattern, cut in low, square edged relief. Part of one palmette and one lotus preserved.
Fillet, H. 0.009m.
Fillet, H. 0.12m., projecting 0.009 from the preceding.
Plain ovolo, H. 0.029m.
Dentils, H. 0.03m., W. 0.035m., W. (of via), 0.015m., D. 0.006-0.008m.
Corona, broken off, H. 0.004m.
Plain surface curving back to worked top, 0.02m.
In the top is a smooth round hole with curving bottom, D. ca. 0.05m., D. (in center) 0.02m., suggesting that the block was used as a threshold.
