trial_description_8:
Two joining fragments. Two sides and one end preserved, giving full length and width of coffer; anathyrosis on both sides.
Surface on back rough-picked and beveled. Slight traces of red color. Apparently the channel cuttings on either side of the coffer were introduced at a later date for some reuse.
From the Propylaea.
Another fragment from the same series, found 1935, overlying the Propylon of the Bouleuterion, and preserving one corner of the supporting member and of the coffer, has been given the same number.
White marble.
