a) Plaque of Pentelic marble, inlaid with colored stones. Broken all around.
Black and white predominates, but yellow and red occur. The mosaic stones are in the shape of triangles and lozenges. They are imbedded in poor reddish or grayish concrete. Back smoothly worked.
b) A small fragment, which preserves none of the mosaic, but a part of the marble bordering bands.
ADDENDA Part of an "omphalos", cf. Byzantine Museum, as restored behind iconostasis in Mid. Byzantine room, 12th c. (?).
