Broken away behind. A corner step block which was unbroken when found in the wall, but serious cracks had opened in it. When removed, the block broke into two principal pieces and a number of smaller ones. On one long side and one end are three fasciae of unequal height, the middle one being quite narrow. Anathyrosis on other end; broken away behind.
The upper surface has a broad raised band at the center; behind this, traces of setting line for next step. Part of a clamp (or dowel) hole near the inner end. Bottom surface smooth.
Poros (or Kara stone?).
