trial_description_8:
Two complete tiles, and many fragments, preserved.
The clay is coarse and red, and covered with a rough slip. The tiles are thicker at the top and bottom than in the middle. At about half their height, and usually a little off center, there are hand holes, flat at the bottom and curved above. The letters are on the top edge, at the right side as seen from inside the well. Three tiles make up the circle.
The letters have their bottom toward the inside of the well, with the exception of the lambdas, which seem to be stamped rather than incised.
