trial_description_8:
Three joining and one non-joining fragments of a cornice block.
One end appears to have been roughly reworked. The block curved and the lower fascia was cut on circle, fascia looks toward the center of the circle. A cyma reversa as bed molding; a plain-faced molding as crown of fascia.
The finish of the stone suggests that stucco was used, of which however nothing remains.
Note that the top is cut level for a length of ca. 0.05m. near the preserved end; elsewhere it slopes gently up toward the outside.
(Diameter of circle on which lower fascia was cut 4.00m. (?))
Granular yellow poros.
