trial_description_8:
Crown of a circular base; a fragment from the periphery of the block remains, retaining its complete profile. Beneath the corona, a hawk's beak molding with a narrow fillet below. The top of the base slopes down steeply towards the outside and is heavily weathered. The underside has a polished bearing surface. Stains of Doric leaf on the hawks beak indicate a spacing of 0.03m.
Very good workmanship.
Pentelic marble.
