Bit of smooth right side preserved on fragment a); otherwise broken all around. Bands of bead and reel, and leaf and dart near bottom. Above, in main panel, gryphons and acanthus leaves. High relief, much undercut. Fragment b) is a small nude Eros, probably from the ornament of the same frieze. Broken at bottom, at left shoulder and at left knee. Short wings; drapery blowing back from shoulders; right hand bent up to ear. c) Small fragment with carving on both faces, apparently from this series. From 1st c. A.D. (H.A. Thompson). Pentelic marble. Cf. A 1880, A 1960, A 1961 and A 2005.
