Broken above, below and on one side. Preserves only part of fluted stem of plant akroterion. Very badly weathered; marble crumbling. But in the very small spot where surface is preserved, the finish is exquisite. Granular white marble. ADDENDA Worth trying to match up with Parthenon central akroteria from which at present only 18 fragments are known (JB, 19 June 1985).
