Volute fragments of large capital. The volute is worked out with a simple ovolo profile, doubled on the edge. The eye is flat and on several examples retains traces of points for setting out the volute. a) Volute complete together with part of echinus and eggs. Mended from several fragments. b) Volute complete and small part of underside of cap. c) Volute fragmentary; small parts of under side of cap. d) Half volute and much of bolster. e) Half volute and part of bolster. f) Slice of volute; working points on eye. g) Slice of volute; working points on eye.
