trial_description_8:
A much battered and confusing fragment. Rough finished sides perpendicular to front may be original, or perhaps better as a re-cutting for a second use. Present top smooth worn, very heavy water deposit on back; concave surface near bottom probably original. Broken at bottom.
Front divided into two fasciae by single molding. Below, floral pattern perhaps a bunch of grapes in lozenge. Above, lower half of a waterspout, possibly a lion's head, with leaf at right, vertical lines at left.
Perhaps from a small fountain.
Gray white marble.
