Chipped on one corner. Rectangular impost block, trapezoidal in section. On three sides, incised grooves create molded effect. Grooves extend 0.135m. along length of block. On sides beyond grooves, rectangular dowel hole. Soffit plain and smoothed. Top very worn, with two circular cuttings apparently for pivot holes: block was reused as threshold block. Byzantine. White marble.
