trial_description_8:
Gray marble block with one preserved smoothed face. All other faces broken.
Two crosses carved on smoothed surface, each with inverted triangles at the end of each point of the cross. At the left of the crosses is a possible third cross, but the surface of the block is badly worn and this may be either wear or another design. Preserved bottom surface worked down with a point and smoothed with a claw and abrasives in some places.
Gray Hymettian (?) marble.
