Unfinished small capital. Almost complete; broken at top, and half of one bolster missing. Volutes on the finished face broken at bottom.
Thin abacus with remains of decorated moulding above. Bolster undecorated; large raised band in center. Volutes well defined (wide flat fillet including the eye), echinus with small "palmette" decoration neatly carved, joining at center. Back roughly picked, with undefined volutes; left side unfinished except for bolster. Possibly meant to be used in a corner (Cf. R. Anderson).
Underside with circular finished resting surface for the shaft; mark of compass point visible in center.
White marble.
