trial_description_8:
Three complete pieces which all seem to make up part of the same flute, though they do not join.
Fragment A: simple cylinder, pierced by a single finger-hole, with three incised grooves near one end.
Fragment B: is a transitional piece, designed to join two sections of different diameters. Both ends are dressed for tongue and groove jointing, the larger end with a rebate along the inside, the smaller end with a rebate along the outside.
Fragment C: similar with fragment A, though smaller in diameter, with two finger-holes and two incised grooves near one-end.
For the arguments of D. Feaver and A. Belis about the kind of these fragments see the card. Both agree that these pieces are not parts of musical instrument.
